Debrief

A lineage map helps locate circulating cells, but it is not a complete molecular taxonomy. The map supports sequence-based morphology for erythroid, granulocytic, megakaryocytic, monocytic, and broad lymphoid pathways. It does not support lineage assignment of an ambiguous blast.

Use standardized morphology terminology and integrate the film with CBC data and additional testing when indicated. Reference intervals, review criteria, turnaround-time expectations, and personnel qualification are local policy decisions.

Document the observed cell features, apply local policy, and escalate uncertainty rather than overcalling morphology.
