Who this module is for

Learning objectives

  • Identify RBCs, WBCs, squamous, transitional/urothelial, and renal tubular epithelial cells using size, border, and internal detail
  • Recognize yeast, bacteria, sperm, Trichomonas-like motility, and common contaminants within the scope of routine image-atlas identification
  • Differentiate cells and organisms from oil droplets, starch, air bubbles, fibers, pollen, mucus, and precipitate artifacts
