Work the result through confirmation

The guided specimen is labeled serum, has no noted hemolysis, and has a total-protein delta check from 6.9 to 8.6 g/dL over 14 months. CZE shows gamma 3.3 g/dL with a narrow gamma peak, while albumin is 3.4 g/dL and alpha-1, alpha-2, and beta are within the representative intervals. The supported screening statement is a restricted gamma band consistent with a possible monoclonal protein.

Serum IFE on the same specimen identifies a monoclonal band in the IgG heavy-chain and kappa light-chain lanes, with no lambda reactivity. sFLC results are kappa 210 mg/L, lambda 12 mg/L, and kappa/lambda ratio 17.5 against the representative 0.26-1.65 interval. These results support detection and typing of an IgG-kappa monoclonal protein.

The laboratory report must not convert these results into MGUS or myeloma classification. Bone marrow findings and clinical correlation are outside this electrophoresis result. Report the pattern and confirmed type, then preserve the boundary between laboratory characterization and clinical classification.

Reflex results. sFLC intervals are representative and assay-specific.
